We are DSI. We exist because...

We Know
that in our world today, many people living with disabilities have immense, unmet needs.

We Believe

that all people deserve equal rights and necessary support to have their needs met and place them on a path to reach their full potential.

We Envision

a world where every person with a disability can live a full life by receiving adequate care and support from their local communities and is empowered to contribute to their society.

We Strive
to work together with others aiming for the same, while simultaneously sparking a global conversation about the value, beauty, and potential within each person who has a disability.

The Need

People with disabilities are one of the most marginalized and vulnerable populations in our world today, especially within low and middle-income countries. They often face stigma, discrimination, and a lack of services and support. To be able to work toward a better tomorrow, we must understand the realities of today.

The Directory

The Global Disability Directory is an online-based DSI program working to build a network to better inform & connect those working in the disability sector, especially in the majority world.

If you are looking for existing help in your country, this resource is for you.

What We Do

At DSI, we believe that together, we can create a more inclusive world for some of those in need of this most. We aim to work collaboratively with those who are reaching out for help, equipping and empowering them to meet existing needs, and make sure that people with disabilities are included in global development efforts.

Currently, we are working directly with partners in Cambodia to build and implement disability training support for teachers and inclusive education development.

The needs are immense, the issues are complex. We are committed
to a better, more inclusive world, but we can't do it alone.
