Volunteer your Skills and Experise to help Advance DSI's Mission
We often need various skills to help advance DSI's operations and program work. Some of these skills are finance, international and/or nonprofit development, legal counsel, fundraising, etc... Volunteering your skills helps us to make sure that we can devote as much time and many resources to DSI's programs and partners as possible.
Volunteering can be done independently (on a consult-type basis) or by joining our team and volunteering regularly with one of our standing committees or on our working board, which meets monthly via teleconference.
Our Board of Directors is currently seeking additional members
who share a passion for our mission and skills in one or more of the following areas:
Nonprofit (NGO) development
Current Standing Committees are:
Program Development (through our Advisory Working Group)
Join our Advisory Working Group
We are currently seeking volunteer professionals with various skills related to disability and international development to collaboratively advise and develop disability training topics and materials to be used on an ongoing basis.
Must be able to commit to being on the Advisory Working Group for 12-18 months and be able to attend monthly workshops in person in the central MN/WI area.
This project starts: Sept 2019
Help us Continue to Grow and Maintain the Global Disability Directory
DSI's website hosts The Global Disability Directory, an online-based program to help those in need of disability services find out and connect with existing services. We need ongoing help to translate pages, continue to grow the GDD and keep it up to date. We do this on DSI 'Directory Days'.
Not near a Directory Day location? You can still get involved, researching individually as you have time or by hosting a Directory Day in your community. Contact us to let us know you're interested, and we'll help you get started!
