The Cycle of Poverty and Disability

Disability & Poverty are Linked in a Vicious Cycle

If you have a disability, there is a higher probability that you will live in poverty and if you live in poverty, you may have, or at some point in your life, have a disability. This is one of the primary reasons we focus our work on developing countries.

The cycle may be explained because of a:

Lack of Access:

to clean water, proper sanitation,

healthcare. Increased conflict &

violence. Deficits in human rights.

Lack of Opportunity:

to education, employment,

advocacy. Often face vulnerability,

discrimination, & isolation.
